Most patients don’t realize that conventional white (composite) fillings contain Bisphenol A — a synthetic chemical linked to hormonal disruption. At Bonita Dental Studio, we don’t think restoring a tooth should mean introducing questionable chemicals into your body. That’s why every filling we place is completely BPA-free.
What We Use — and Why It Matters
We restore teeth with Admira Fusion, the first all-ceramic nano-ORMOCER filling material of its kind. Unlike traditional composites, its chemical base is built entirely on silicon oxide — forming both the glass fillers and the ceramic resin matrix. That means zero classic monomers: no BPA, no bis-GMA, no TEGDMA, no UDMA.

Common questions
How long do BPA-free fillings last?
With normal care, a well-placed composite filling should give you many years of service, however they ALL break down due to shrinkage over time. Another benefit of using Admira Fusion is LESS shrinkage: the manufacturer reports it shrinks about 1.25% by volume as it cures, against roughly 2–3% for conventional composites. That matters because shrinkage pulls the filling away from the tooth wall, and that gap is where leakage and new decay begin. A better seal is a large part of what makes a filling last. Beyond the material, longevity depends on where the filling sits, how heavily you chew on it and whether you grind your teeth, and the foods you eat daily.
Do they cost more than ordinary white fillings?
The materials do cost the practice more, but we do not treat biocompatible fillings as a paid upgrade — they are simply what we use. You will have a written estimate before treatment, and our financial options page explains how payment and insurance claims work here.
Can you replace fillings I already have?
Yes. If those fillings are mercury amalgam, replacement follows the SMART removal protocol rather than ordinary drilling. If they are older composites that are breaking down that is a straightforward appointment.
Will the filling match my other teeth?
Yes. The material is shaded to your natural tooth color and polishes to a similar luster, so a well-placed filling is difficult to pick out. Unlike amalgam, there is no grey shadow showing through the tooth over time.
